We are teachers in Arizona
who formed Splash! Publications 17 years ago. Even after 17 years, our goal remains
very simple: provide teachers with curriculum that can be used immediately. Period.
That means no idea books! There are lots of great "ideas" out there, and you probably
have thousands of them on your shelves right now. Who has time to put them together
before 7 A.M. tomorrow morning?

We taught nine years before
publishing our first curriculum, Do Arizona! Like many of you reading this, we had
become frustrated with textbook manufacturers who were not always aware of what
was going on in the classroom. Lessons did not teach to measurable objectives or
they taught too many objectives at the same time. Activities that were worth using
were listed as "ideas" in the textbooks and had to be created before they could
be implemented in our classrooms. We set out to make a different kind of "textbook."
One that was absolutely ready to teach from immediately. Sixteen years later, hundreds
of Arizona teachers are using Do Arizona!

Since that time, we have
published social studies curricula for American History and six other states. During the past two years, we've created 32 new units focusing on American History, State History, and
U.S.
Regions. Each curriculum features lessons and activities that you would create if
you had a hundred extra hours you didn't know what to do with. Our complete Social
Studies programs, history units, and literature study guides don't even contain
the word "idea" and they are ready to use as soon as you receive them.
